Early detection of inflammation avoiding diabetic foot ulcers

Raidmed’s Temperature Monitoring System is intended to be used by a patient for periodic evaluation of the temperature over the soles of the feet for signs of inflammation. Early detection of inflammation can help avoid the development of diabetic foot ulcers – the pre-cursor to lower limb amputation.

Early intervention leads to faster healing and reduced cost and inconvenience. Your clinical care team are able to monitor your foot health between visits and contact you as soon as any concerns are raised.

Our Mission

Raidmed has made it our mission to help people better manage their diabetes and prevent lower limb amputations.

An estimated 40 million people in the USA have diabetes and there are 130,000 lower limb amputations as a result of diabetes every year in USA. This comes at huge personal cost as well as massive social and economic cost.

There are 1 million diabetic foot ulcers diagnosed in USA every year. As the first step towards a lower limb amputation they are common, complex and costly to heal – often recurring.

80% of lower limb amputations which result from complications of diabetes are avoidable.
